Activities and sights in the national park

Kosterhavet National Park offers several kilometres of marked hiking trails spread across many of the islands. The trails vary in length and difficulty, so you can choose a walk that suits your pace and experience. Whether you want a short, easy stroll or a longer, more challenging hike, you’ll find a route that lets you explore the coastal landscape up close.

If you visit Ursholmen, you can see the historic lighthouses that have stood here since the late 19th century. The lighthouses are no longer staffed, but the old keeper’s houses and storage huts remain. As you walk around the island, you get a sense of what life was like for the lighthouse keepers who once lived and worked here.

Kosterhavet also has two snorkel trails, each around 200 metres long. One is located at Rörvik on South Koster, and the other in Hasslebukten on Saltö. Signs on land describe the marine life you might spot beneath the surface. Along the seabed, underwater information boards guide you as you follow the trail and discover the park’s rich underwater world.
