Tresticklan National Park

Visit the park

Here you’ll find directions, information about local services, and other useful details to help you prepare for your visit to Tresticklan National Park.

The easiest way to visit Tresticklan National Park is to start from the main entrance and follow the path that leads into the park. It is good to bring a map and compass if you choose to hike outside the marked paths.

A pair of sturdy shoes is almost always useful, but you can visit the national park’s entrance in low shoes. If you want to explore the national park more thoroughly, heavier footwear, hiking boots or wellingtons are recommended depending on the season. In winter, the easiest way to get around is on skis or snowshoes.

Accessibility

The national park’s crevice‑valley landscape and the ascent up to the park boundary mean that accessibility is low.

Of the national park’s three entrances, only the main entrance is adapted for accessibility and reachable by car.

There are accessible toilets, composting toilets and rest areas in the park.
